http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews_detai...beef9a922e7e063Good to see that at least in terms of entries, the BTCC seems to be thriving again.

When will they get real touring cars to drive?
safc_fan89 - March 12, 2008 07:03 PM (GMT)
Somehow I knew someone would say that.

We want the modern day equivalents of the Sierra RS500, BMW M3s and the like, not cars that resemble the Halfords chav-em-up catalogue range.... lol

bring back multiple classes?
i'd be all for it but i can't see the entries would be there to sustain it
in what i call the height of the btcc there was about 15-20 RS500's
a REAL BMW team with James Weaver and Frank Sytner driving that had plenty of competition
and class c and d with the Astra's and Golf's was strong as well
i don't see those days ever returning

Have you stopped watching F1 now because the cars aren't as fast as they were?

It's the most entertaining four wheeled series around.
