Title: Motorcycle Racers Top Ten Riders of 06
ppparkinson9 - December 6, 2006 07:04 PM (GMT)
The magazine Motorcycle Racer, which I get every month (it's the only British bikesport monthly, I think) has just done it's yearly top ten riders:
10. James Toseland (WSB)
9. Leon Haslam (BSB)
8. Nicky Hayden (MotoGP)
7. Gregorio Lavilla (BSB)
6. Jorge Lorenzo (250)
5. Ryuichi Kiyonari (BSB)
4. Ben Spies (AMA)
3. Valentino Rossi (MotoGP)
2. Sebastien Charpentier (WSS)
1. Troy Bayliss (WSB)
Pretty fair. Though No Loris Capirossi and Pedrosa is a bit puzzling.
I don't like Jorge Lorenzo either.

agreed about lorenzo. cocky b****r
the lack of a pedrosa might be down to his estoril "manuevre"?
capirossi? that is a bit puzzling but still, most places are occupied by BSB riders. <think>

Have to say to the uneducated watcher the absence of Loris is a bit strange. <think>
I don't know how he did in comparision to some of these blokes but I saw most of the MotoGP races this season and you could at least say he had a more impressive season than Hayden who they have in at No 8....
Without that accident who knows......

Exactly my thoughts. Also interesting how Hayden is lower down than Mr Rossi <think>
