Title: Will Holland throw the game with Romania?
Steelstallions - June 14, 2008 01:32 PM (GMT)
With the chance of dumping the Current World Cup Champions and the runners up, will Holland throw the game?
Will be a sad day for Dutch football if even the impoverished side they are going to field don't play to win.
For Italy its deja vu, 4 years ago the other two teams Denmark and Sweden drew 2-2 in their final group game the only score that would see them both thru and Italy out
For France its new territory <think>

I hope they do. Frankly, France and Italy don't deserve to be in the quarter-finals.

Well its the big night, and one of the two world cup finalists must be eliminated.
Im personaly hoping that romania go through as i stuck a £5 bet on them to reach the semis after playing the tournament with a mate on pro evo.
And after their performance against the italians i think they deserve it. Both italy and france have been woeful this tournament and probably dont deserve to go through but out of the twoi would prefer italy.
Who does everyone else want to make it through?

Between France & Italy, I'd prefer Italy going through. But I have a feeling France will sneak in. They always manage to go through in situations like this <mad>

i wouldn't be bothered if Holland played a 'weakened' team
they took 23 players and are well within their rights to play who they want
you can't just go round saying they should pick their strongest 11, if that was the case then FIFA should limit squads to 11 players so chopping and changing stops
if France and Italy don't go through they only have themselves to blame

Holland are already through so it makes sense for them to rest some of their strongest players. If Romania win they will be through and will fully deserve to, neither France nor Italy has played up to expectation so if either of them scrape through it won't exactly be deserved.

Holland with 9 changes in the first team beat Romania 2 - 0,
They really are a force to be reckoned with in this competition.
