Title: Welcome to the UK Motorsport Forum!
Description: Please take a peek here before posting

someone - March 3, 2007 11:52 AM (GMT)
Firstly, welcome from both Startline Ed and myself to the UK motorsport forum. As you can see, we currently have three separate forums for BTCC, single seaters and club motorsport. As this forum hopefully grows, we'll evaluate and see how this works - in the meantime if you have any suggestions, please feel free to drop us a line through the Suggestions Zone. <thumbs>

A little bit about ourselves:

I am a fairly active member and on the committee of a SE motorclub, marshal sprints and rallies, compete in PCTs and sprints, am just buying a single seater to compete in some circuit racing this year and sometimes write as well for various national and international motorsport publications. I am also involved in various ways with organising sprints and PCTs (entries sec etc).

My day job sadly isn't motorsport based but from February through to October most weekends will be taken up with motorsport related activities, including the writing on the side. As well as UK motorsport I try to see a few international meetings each year which last year included the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, USA and German F3 at the Lausitzring. My favourite UK series are F3, Formula Vee and anything with some good, close racing!

A little about Startline Ed:

"Hello I'm Edward. I'm a 3rd year student at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth studying International Politics & Military History.

In terms of motorsport I am a marshal (Pits/Start and Flag) and will be part of a Stock Hatch team next season with the Stig and a few others.

I am a big fan of motorsport in general but particularly Tin Tops and Sports Cars. My favourite meetings include Historics, Britcar and 750 Motor Club.

I hope you enjoy your time in the UK Motorsport forum and I look forward to chatting with you."

We both hope you'll enjoy your time here and look forwarding to some healthy banter and discussion - just as a note, please remember to discuss the topic in hand. Opinions will always differ but please refrain from personal insults as these will be removed.

That's enough for now, enjoy your time here!

:D
