Mix of races so will leave it here for now rather than putting it into a sub-forum.

How did it go, what was the best race, did it snow again (!) etc? Didn't make it so not best pleased but hope everyone else enjoyed it!

It went very well. Most of the grids were oversubscribed with 36 entries plus a minimum of four reserves, which made for a very hectic life in the enlarged assembly area.

For me, the best race of the day was the Locost final - very close racing indeed. How they got away with 2 1/2 wide into Gerards (the one behind the two in front was trying very hard to made it THREE wide) I do not know.

No it didn't snow. We had lovely weather all day, although it did start getting a trifle chilly when it clouded over around 4.30 p.m.

All in all, a brilliant day and some superb racing. <yahoo>

P2 - I had to call a red flag and Dr when a spinner rolled back into the traffic at Gerrards!
Whallop and instantly 2 cars were going home!

Joyce Swan later commented that it was "Ominously Quiet" - 2 cars at Post 12 - red flag!

WW nearly had an RGB come into the pit entrance at very high speed.......a huge inconvenience as there ISN'T a pit entrance!

A F-Vee rolled I believe at the Hairnet and I called another red flag for a stranded car at Gerrards who had a gearbox full of shrapnel!

Good crew on post - excellent racing!

Ah yes, an interesting moment that.

Mind you I AM going to write a strongly worded letter to Tescos. I purchased a 6 pack of their mini Melton Mowbray Pork Pies which, as any marshal knows, will cause havoc as soon as one's front teeth touch the pastry. Mine didn't have any effect whatsoever, so I suspect they were of inferior quality!

However, the Chunky Egg Mayonnaise sandwich filler had a spectacular result. I took the first bite of my sandwich and all hell broke loose when the F Vee decided it wanted be the other way up! My fault entirely! :D

Which Vee was it that rolled?

Dunno - but the driver was unhurt. <thumbs>
