Hi everyone.

On Behalf of the Admin/Mods of The Pitlane i have felt it was wise with member numbers growing just to remind you:

NOT to give out personal details via the froum, or even PM or MSN unless you are 100% sure of who you are speaking to and that such details you may give out can sadly be used against you by people who may not be all they seem.

I have come across situations on boards that sadly were not all they seemed and it can easily cause pain and upset, and of course even more so if you have young family.

SO PLEASE BEAR THIS IS IN MIND, as much as we "know" each other.....we don't REALLY do we?

This is not meant to worry or scare, but is a gentle reminder of what should be normal internet protocol for us all!

And of course keep your security measure (anti virus etc.)up to date also.

Yes indeed, thanks for the warning. The internet is like a magnet for weird people. You could talk to someone for months and not know anything more than what they wanted you to know.

And don’t let a position of ‘power’ fool you on the .net! Be wary of anyone, be it moderators, admin, regular posters or site owners. I know personally of a site owner who used alter-egos to cause trouble and then ban people when the trouble occurred.

(and that is not a comment about anyone on here)
