"Aston Martin will compete in the ultra-competitive GT1 class with the phenomenally sexy DBR9."
If that's a sexy car, I'd hate to see a lardy fat bastard car that looks like a whale with a headache....

I fully appreciate that peoples opinions will often differ on any given subject...
But come on... the Aston Martin DBR9GT is drop dead gorgeous.... IMVHO

It's got a fat, ugly mouth, and a huge fat arse! It's like Jade Goody without boobs!

Whatever you say..... <doh>
Norbert - March 20, 2007 03:44 PM (GMT)
I've never been a fan of the DB7 or DB9. Go back a few years to the AMV8 however...
The STIG - March 20, 2007 03:57 PM (GMT)
ok, well forget the car and focus on the drivers for a bit. have they got a chance?
timmadigan - March 20, 2007 04:06 PM (GMT)
Maybe. I still feel the Corvette is the faster of the 2 cars so even with good drivers, they'll have to push it hard.
John - March 20, 2007 04:31 PM (GMT)
Now Prodrive (or at least Dave Richards) has an ownership stake in Aston rather than just running the GT racing section I guess there will be more of an effort to make the car a winner....

I hope the Aston runs rings around those pesky 'Vettes.
While I think the road cars look a little long nosed somehow, the race cars are an education in how a competition machine should look.
Awesome doesn't even come close !
The STIG - March 20, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
I think the two cars are fairly even. Prehaps the Vette has better straightline, but the Aston handles like it's on rails
it'll be the drivers who can make the difference. Who's got the Chevies?
gillesno27 - March 21, 2007 01:37 PM (GMT)
Anyone off to FIA GTs in May to see them in the flesh? Should be a good effort, I'm looking forward to it. Dunno about the chances against the Corvettes; those works cars are damn quick. Good line-up for AM though, I reckon the Corvettes will win though due to better reliability.
