Title: Round 2- Malaysia- a lighthearted preview

Like in Australia where kangaroos had to be locked in cages and prisoners made to clear the track there are many things which have to be prepared in Malaysia for their GP which you may not be aware off.

First of all rain is a very regular feature in Sepang, so giant turbine fans are put up around the circuit before the GP to scare the clouds away, however Bernie has to pay millions to put them up. Unfortunately he couldn't pay for it in 2001 because he had to use that money to pay for his wife's plastic surgery(yes it would cost that much) hence we had a race with very heavy rain. The A1 GP organisers could afford to have these fans last year for their fans earlier in the A1 season hence why their race weekend was affected by monsoons.

Another problem for this year's race is that Borat is planning a new documentary based on malaysia, many officials fear he will visit the GP and cause havoc by asking the drivers to spend the night in his hotel room with him and try to kiss them all on the grid(surely Jean Todt won't mind though) and trying to chat up Bernie's wife and run out onto the track, so security are trying to put measures in place, however Max Mosley has already stated that costs needs be saved and is willing to take the risk, so we will see what happens.

The Malaysian GP as you know is very hot and fan suppliers are needed so that the fans can cool themsleves, however the suppliers aren't willing to come as they feel they can get more money for them on Malaysian ebay and don't want to waste their stock for the GP so work goes on to find a new supplier for the GP and it is likely that fans are likely to be flown in from sainsburys headquarters where the fans are currently struggling to sell.

The Honda drivers Jenson and Rubens have to go down to the forest near the track to plant trees to repair the damage their cars will cause the Earth this weekend, however due to the reliability and speed of their car at the moment it was only a 5 minute visit and they could both head straight back for the beach and sunbath to their hearts content. Meanwhile Sato and Davidson are still down there hours into the night.

And finally officials need to be on the look out for a man said to be carrying engine damaging liquid, he caught some teams last year and it is feared he will turn up again this year, Apparently is name is Bruce.

That is the overview of other preparations going on in Malaysia, I will have a report on how the teams and drivers are looking heading into the weekend very shortly.
