Title: Thruxton

Didn't see race 1, but the end of race 2 was a close shave for Lavilla. Still it's four from four for him now, I'd mark him as the favourite but for what happened last year.
Ducati can't seriously be asking for 1200cc when they won at flat out Oulton Park.
More praise for Leon Camier though, a very impressive rookie performance against riders with years more experience.

Yeah, I meant Thruxton. Now corrected.

Ducati have a valid point that f they're not making a litre bike it makes no sense for them to be racing one, they've also said they're willing to accept restriction on the motor and a mid-season re-evaluation.
It'd be a much tougher job to market a top end sports bike that isn't in competition.
If they're serious about letting an 1100 or 1200 be restricted then I think they should be allowed to race it.

Ducati's marketing problems aside I think a repeat of the arguments that used to go on over the 750 4's against the 1000 twins is going to start again with the new rules.
1200's are happening in BSB of course, but we need a guarantee that if the rules favour Ducati too much they'll be pulled back, it was obvious that the 750 4's were uncompetitive for a long time before the rules were finally changed, they need to react a bit quicker this time.

I guess that last race shows that Lavilla might not have it all his own way this season. And of course, last season he started off very impressively before things started to go wrong in the summer. There are a lot of riders who look capable of winning this year, which is great to see. Plenty of action as well :)
