:o
I was absolutely gutted that JT once again was denied a double. The championship is looking good though and even though the result came out wrong, race 2 was an absolute classic.

Unable to watch it, I've just read the post race summary on the SBK site, must have been incredibly exciting:
Assen: World Superbike Race 2 - Summary
Troy Bayliss has won Superbike race2 at Assen after a nail biting final two laps and a photo-finish across the line. He and Toseland traded the lead repeatedly in the closing stages of the race, with Toseland in the lead out of the final chicane but Bayliss beating him across the line by just thousandths of a second.
Max Biaggi was third after leading away from the line and then running wide to drop back into the pack. Haga had led the race after starting fifteenth but pulled off the track with mechanical problems on lap 11. Lanzi crashed on lap 19 while running in fourth place. Corser was fourth and Rolfo fifth
Assen: World Superbike Race 1 - Summary
James Toseland has won Superbike race 1 at Assen after fighting off challenges from Haga, Xaus and Bayliss.
Haga finished second after starting fifteenth, but his team mate Corser crashed out on the penultimate lap while lying third, gifting the final step on the podium to Xaus. Bayliss was fourth after fading from second in the closing laps, Lanzi was fifth and Biaggi was sixth after running at the front on the first lap.

It was a nail biter. JT got Bayliss into the final straight, but couldn't get out of the last chicane tight enough which led to a mugging on the line. Fantastic race for Australians and neutrals though.
