I know... lets make a very special car from an very ordinary one... give it awesome power and make it appear that we intend to make it a mass production vehicle...
Cars like this are only about badge snobbery... I have a Skoda which will beat the pants off your AMG.... it's a great car in standard form.... bloody pointless in XXX form.... <doh>

it doesn't say anywhere that anyone is thinking about production, why argue a made up case ?
it's designed as a rally car to promote their parts business, not to outdrag an AMG... which in turn is designed to make you think the owner is wealthier than you, and is utterly pointless.
