Welcome to the Motorsports History forum. This forum intends to look back at the history of motorsports, with an eye toward the future. The plan is to introduce historical circuits, drivers, cars, teams, sponsors, and fans that tie the past to the present.

Our first thread was started in the Motorsport Technology forum and has been moved here. It tells the story of an historic Indy 500.

We encourage everyone to write a feature thread that tells of some motorsports history. Try to relate the history to a current event, if possible. That way there is sure to be interest.

Don't limit yourselves to any one formula. All motorsports, all eras, all everything belong here.

good forum Flood! A while back I was thinking about writing a little article on each of the F1 teams throughout history but due to my exams I've not had the time to do the research.
