awful news. That one a year for last three years. Japenese guy last year and David Jeffries the year before. Any idea who the rider was?

The incident is being investigated, and the results of the race haven't been put on the site yet. This would seem to suggest that the organisers don't wish to name those involved at this stage. I'm sure we'll find out in due course. As for an incident free TT, let's not forget that Shaun Harris is currently listed as critical after a crash in the Supestock race....

I don't keep up with the TT, I'm sorry to hear that another rider is seriously hurt. I guess it's only newsworthy if someone dies.

All this concern for the rider... he has killed two people and yet most likely it is his name that will be remembered...

David Jeffries died in 2003. Gus Scott (the brother of one of our former secretaries) died in 2005 after he hit a marshal.

was it really 2003? god, it seems so recent. I remember all the bikers turning up in Shipley and Bingley during the funeral. Thousands of bikes brought the road network to its knees.
