Title: Viewing figures 2007

This season viewing figures of F1 in Britain are up 26.9%, according in F1 Racing. Is this all down to the Lewis factor, the absence of Schumi or a closer championship battle?

You would have to say the 'Lewis Hamilton factor' (what a crap name for something)

Whether or not you rate him as driver, are a fan or not, the british press have seized the opportunity to splash him all over the papers, I'm not surprised people are tuning in to see what all the fuss is about....

It IS getting silly thou. I picked up my indian takeaway last night and they had a tabloid newspaper in the waiting area. It had a two page spread (and front cover boxout) on Lewis's girlfriend and whether their on-off relationship is back on track after recent.....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Sorry, I really didn't get any further as my grub arrived. But seriously, who gives a f*** about these things......a whole world of news and important issues in the world and the british tabloid reading nation are really just concerned about Hamilton's bird!!

rant over <peek>

I was touring Surrey with the golf team last week and was staying with a English family and they have started to watch it just because of Hamilton, this is typical i think of most Brits. I think its good for the sport

Not only in England. Here in Latvia as soon as anyone asks you"Where are you from" taxi drivers, hotel staff etc the first thing they say is Ahh Hamilton fantastics.
The only other event I can remember in 13 years of living here which everyone talked about was Diana's car crash
