GP2series.com - Martinez to miss Hungarian races

Marcos Martinez will not take part in this weekend's racing at the Hungaroring after the stewards of the meeting decided not to allow him to take part in today's competition, after his qualifying time fell outside the 107% required by the sporting regulations.

The Spaniard was making his debut in the GP2 Series this weekend for Racing Engineering, but will not now take part in either Saturday or Sunday's race.

Mike Conway of Super Nova International was also given a three place grid penalty for today's race after he crossed the start-finish line twice after the chequered flag during free practice. He will start 21st.

That was a quick debut!
