wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:14 PM (GMT)
Well that was interesting. Only half a lap done and we have a full course yellow.
Most drivers are now pitting to change from the red wall tyres to black walls.
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:17 PM (GMT)
And it's now back to green flag racing!
Top three:
Bourdais
Doornbos
Junqueira (who has a penalty pending for a jump start)
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:22 PM (GMT)
Junqueira in the pits for his jump start penalty.
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
After 8 laps the top three are:
Bourdais
Doornbos
Rahal
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
Wilson is currently in 11th struggling on the red wall tyres
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:26 PM (GMT)
Wilson pits - change of tyres to black walls.
Hopefully he will now be on a charge <thumbsup>
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:31 PM (GMT)
Doornbos starting to put the pressure on Bourdais now. Everyone else is second!

Positions after 19 laps:
Bourdais
Doornbos
Rahal
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:54 PM (GMT)
An interesting battle going on for 5th, 6th and 7th between
Servia
Tagliani
Power
Wilson, for some reason, is now down in 14th. :(
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:56 PM (GMT)
Clarke strikes again. <grrr>
This time he takes his own team mate out.
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
Doornbos pits for a new nose cone.

<wave>
Hello Andy!
Actually looking at the replay of that incident, I'm not sure whether we can blame Dan.
Red Andy - August 12, 2007 08:01 PM (GMT)
Hmmm.... could be a case of six of one, half a dozen of the other, I suppose.
Unfortunately I'm now having to switch off the TV, but will be following the rest of the race on Live Timing!
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:02 PM (GMT)
And Clarke is in the lead again!
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:06 PM (GMT)
Poor old Doornbos is now down in 13th
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:07 PM (GMT)
Red Andy - August 12, 2007 08:07 PM (GMT)
Order on lap 30 with 39 minutes remaining is Bourdais, Rahal, Clarke, Servia, Tagliani, Wilson, Jani, Gommendy.
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
Shame you had to turn your telly off - you missed an incredible overtaking maneouvre by Rahal on Clarke.
Rahal passed him like he was stationary! <roflmao>
Red Andy - August 12, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
Is Power's problem terminal, or will he be back out? The Live Timing is listing him as "in pit" but about six laps down.
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
They are still working on the car
Red Andy - August 12, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
Fair enough.
Wilson has dropped back to ninth for some reason.
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
Wilson has just had a pit stop during our commercial break - he's currently in 10th, running very close to Figge.
Red Andy - August 12, 2007 08:13 PM (GMT)
And nearly a second a lap faster!
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:13 PM (GMT)
After 35 laps with 32 minutes remaining:
Bourdais
Rahal
Clarke
But Servia is closing in on Clarke - currently about 6-7 car lengths behind.
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:15 PM (GMT)
Wilson is really closing up on Figge! <thumbsup>
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:16 PM (GMT)
And Wilson takes Figge and starts pulling away <yahoo>
Power is out of the car and retired.
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:16 PM (GMT)
Junqeira has also passed Figge
Red Andy - August 12, 2007 08:16 PM (GMT)
Poor old Doornbos isn't having the same sort of race as he had last time out. He's over a minute off the lead in 13th, and not significantly faster than Tracy who is immediately ahead of him.
wickedwitch - August 12, 2007 08:17 PM (GMT)
It seems that Power's car was jammed in 4th gear :(
Red Andy - August 12, 2007 08:18 PM (GMT)
And as I speak, Doornbos gets ahead of Tracy!

It may well be that after the coming together with Clarke that something has been damaged. If that is the case then the car will have all the aerodynamic properties of your average house brick.
Red Andy - August 12, 2007 08:20 PM (GMT)
Seems plausible.
Apparently Doornbos needs to pit again, as well, so things are going to get worse for him before they begin to get worse still.
