Title: Biofuel car beats Petrol...
Description: In qualifying.

And the petrol teams aren't pleased about it! Yet the very fact that 2 Aston Martin DBRS9's, one of them running BioFuel and the other running Petrol can be a second apart is quite intreguing. There's an agreement that the biofuel shouldn't outperform the petrol, apparently - but should such an agreement exist, or should it be a case of every last fuel for himself?

Surely it is positive thing proving that a green fuel has as good, if not better, performance than a fossil fuel. It proves that we don't need to sacrefice car performance to be environmentally friendly.

I agree Andy, But these racing types will complain about anyone who gets an advantage by doing ANYTHING differently!

If anything it would make me want to switch to Biofuel, also, I bet there are tax breaks for using it.

Well, I can only see positives

it's got as much power as Petrol, It's cheaper, the fuel duty is low, it's carbon neutral. The only downside is that you use more of it.

And like they did with diesel, as soon as its worth buying a car that works on this fuel with good performance it will drastically go up in price!

I doubt that biofuel is carbon neutral. By the time it's been refined, taking into account the lower calorific value, it usually creates more carbon emission per unit volume than petrol.....

Okay, maybe not carbon neutral then... but certainly renewable!
