Giorgio Pantano has told GP2 title contender Lucas di Grassi that he has "made an enemy" after the pair clashed at Istanbul on Sunday.
Di Grassi was handed a drive-through penalty for the incident during the sprint race. Now Pantano has vowed to make the Brazilian's life difficult as he battles Timo Glock for the title. |
From

Seriously, I know GP2 is supposed to be an F1 "junior series," but do the drivers have to behave like juveniles?

Why is he still in GP2? He failed in F1 3 years ago.

I assume he thinks that since he was only beaten fairly narrowly by Nick Heidfeld who is a fairly decent driver that he may get another chance in F1 if he does well in GP2.

Well he's failed on the 'doing well in GP2' part!

Against Hamilton, no less. ;)
I'm not really disagreeing with you, just trying to see the logic behind his decision to stay in GP2.

giorgio has as much chance of an f1 drive as i do. :P
though maybe shouldnt say that as narain seems to be making a come back!
<roflmao>
was lucky enough to have been at monza when giorgio won the f3000 race.
but that was FIVE years ago.career hasnt moved much since then.
though on the point of the original post lucas timing is bad as giorgio is always good round monza (its a very simple track) and will be up the front - possibly even on pole.
but di grassi probably wont try try and overtake him anyway. <sleep>
dont think flav has another alonso on his hands there.or even another heikki.

I guess it's better than nothing, but since leaving F1 he hasn't done anything to suggest he has anything to offer F1. I'm more surprised a team took him on, to be honest. And I was even more surprised when Pizzonia turned up again! He's had at least 3 goes and failed each time!
