| Alessandro Zanardi has expressed his frustration at the penalty he has been handed after the first lap accident at Oschersleben two weeks ago. Zanardi was given a 10-place grid penalty for the next four races, which he cannot appeal against, after officials decided that he was responsible for causing the multiple car accident in Germany. However, the Italian has since reviewed the television footage of the accident himself, and he has also put still frames which he believes prove his innocence on his website. |

From http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/62068 Seems a bit of a harsh penalty, especially since it is not subject to appeal. I have no idea whether the collision was his fault or not, but in either case the penalty seems a bit over-the-top. |
