Who were the best performers today?

safc_fan89 - September 9, 2007 03:16 PM (GMT)
Alonso - flawless

Hamilton - drove well, great pass on Kimi

Rosberg - punching above his weight again

Button - good drive to 8th place

Red Andy - September 10, 2007 10:56 AM (GMT)
Alonso for the excellent win, Button for the great drive to eighth, and Davidson for keeping an irate Fisichella behind him for the whole race.

I gather he was to blame for those. I must have missed what had happened there <dunce>

Kubica? Hardly. The front jack man screwed up.

Only 6 drivers failled to get a single vote... Fisichella, Massa, Trulli, Liuzzi, Wurz and Webber <think>

well roberts taking the blame. said he didnt arrive in the pitbox straight.

voted for 4 obvious ones really nando and lewis for a great 1-2 and nico and jenson for providing some unusual entertainment at monza. <clap>

but also for sakon yamamoto who keep up with his well regarded team-mate and was actually in front of him at one point.

be interesting to see if he can do it again or if monza was a one off.

Who voted for Coulthard? He didn't exactly get much chance to impress!

Very bored, I read a discarded copy of The Times on the train. According to their journo, Kubica was to blame for the car sliding off the jack because he came it at the wrong angle.

Sounds like a very poor excuse for "the jack/wing interface is rubbish, and on this occasion the car slid forwards off it". Rather like Ferrari saying Kimi caused his practice shunt. Seeing as Mass lasted 10 laps or so before a serious rear end of the car issue forced him to pronounce it undriveable, should we speculate that the two may have been related?

If Kubica drove in at the wrong angle, the pit crew moves to accommodate the car. So that's rubbish IMO.

Maybe it was down to the fact he made the best start, not sure...

Pretty much. I don't think Alonso put a foot wrong all weekend.
