TPL Fantasy A1GP Instructions
Welcome to the 1st Annual TPL Fantasy A1GP Game brought to you by Lord Tau. This is just a little game to play whilst the majority of the motorsport season takes a break over the winter. So, come one, come all and play the game!!
How to Play
Those of you who play the Fantasy Formula 1 game will notice many similarities between the games. The 22 nations competing (at time of writing) have been placed in three pools thus:
Pool A
France
Germany
Great Britain
Malaysia
New Zealand
The Netherlands
Pool B
Australia
Brazil
Canada
China
Czech Republic
Italy
Mexico
Portugal
South Africa
Switzerland
United States
Pool C
India
Indonesia
Ireland
Lebanon
Pakistan
Each player must choose one nation from each pool. Between each race event, a player may make ONE change to their selections, remembering to have only one team from each pool.
Scoring
Nations score points in the following way:
2 points are awarded for a nation starting on pole
Any championship points scored by the country are awarded to you as well
This includes the fastest lap bonus, awarded in both the Sprint Race and Feature Race
In addition, for every place made up from their place on the starting grid, one point is awarded. However, if a driver finishes below their starting place, they score minus points.
So, for example - a team qualifies in 16th and finishes in 8th will score 8 points, but a team starting 2nd and then finishing 22nd and last (i.e. through retirement) will incur a 20 point penalty!
Finally, if a team is disqualified from the race, a 10 point penalty is incurred.
The Joker
Again, familiar to players of the Fantasy F1 game is the Joker. If you think you have picked the perfect lineup for a particular race, you may elect to play your Joker. A Joker may only be used once in the season, so use it wisely. Playing your Joker doubles your score for that race. Be advised, if you play a Joker and end up with a minus total, the negative effects are doubled too!
The Winner
The winner is the player with the most points at the end of the season. Good Luck!
Got to have a go at this.
Team as follows.
Great Britain.
Switzerland.
Ireland.

This was last year's competition.
I'm not running it this year, as there were so few players and it took a while to run each time.
Sorry!
Does that mean I'm champion indefinitely? <yahoo>
