Title: No Team Foggy next year
Description: It's fallen down on sponsorship...again

Foggy's plan to return to WSB running the MV Augusta factory team has fallen down on money as was probably suspected for a long time. So another project falls victim to complete sponsor apathy around motorcycles in the UK, though it didn't look like the Italians were interested in the return of the iconic MV Augusta marque either.

This opens the way for Team Roberts to run the MV Augusta team.. If they can raise the money.

The sad story here

Foggy isn't having the best of luck running his own team is he. It's a pity because nobody wants to see great champions of any discipline of motorsport fall down as a team owner. Hopefully he can get a team together for 2009

<thumbsdown>

and i was looking forward to seeing MV's on the grid next year... :(

foggy's team infrastucture was one of the better ones in WSB and whilst i am not particularly "fond" of foggy and his quotes, he is a supremely driven man and would, with the right package, deliver....

i hope then that team KR will do it because as much as i want more bikes on the moto gp grid, they would probably get better results in WSB...
