Title: Magny Cours WSB Finale Thread
ppparkinson9 - October 5, 2007 01:01 PM (GMT)
First practice is over and so far it's looking good for Toseland
ReportThe biggest problem Max Biaggi has this weekend is that he hasn't done Magny Cours since his 250 days, if at all, whilst Toseland and Haga are very strong round here. Still I'm sure Max will get faster.
Surprisingly for a track renowned for dullness it produced possibly the race of the year last season. Here's hoping for more of the same. <please>

Looking good for Toseland as Biaggi looks to be struggling so far.
I'm not sure what way the Superbike points works Park - can Toseland win the championship at race one or will he have to wait until the final lap of the weekend?

WSB points are the same as MotoGP (25-20-16-13-11 etc). As JT has a 29 point lead if he finished ahead of Haga and Biaggi that would be enough. It's a very long shot for him not to win it, but...

Cheers Park. It would be a great way for Toseland to sign off by taking the title

Superpole timesSo far, so good....

Warm up TimesThere was a mist over Magny Cours which led to the Superstocks being canned. I wonder if weather is going to play a part in France today.

If memory serves me right Biaggi was good in the wet in MotoGP so damp conditions could aid him cutting through the field. As long as Toseland keeps his head he should take victory

Why does it always have to be the hard way? Or after yesterdays day of spectacular sporting success is the home team paying for it today big time?
Paul_Murtagh - October 7, 2007 11:17 AM (GMT)
At least he is still ahead of Max. Still looking good but he isn't making it easy
ppparkinson9 - October 7, 2007 11:20 AM (GMT)
As it stands he's now 17 points ahead of Haga and 28 points ahead of Max. Max can't win it, but Haga can if something goes wrong, and the way today is going (check out what happened to Priaulx at Monza) I think it's not looking good.

So Toseland needs a top 7 finish to gaurantee the title then should Haga win Race 2?
ppparkinson9 - October 7, 2007 02:49 PM (GMT)
Race 2 That was 22 laps of the worst torture I've ever seen.
But JT is champion!
