The American LeMans Series' Road Atlanta 1000 mile (10 hour max) endurance race will begin today at 11:15 USA Eastern Savings Time, or 4:15 BST.

31 cars will race in 4 classes: Prototype 1 (P1), P2, GT1, GT2. The cars conform to ACO rules for LeMans.

The race is about halfway through the first hour. Jan Magnussen has crashed the #3 Corvette very hard into the tire barriers. He is okay, but the car is probably done for the day.
