| All of the current 13 GP2 teams have been offered the opportunity to remain in the series for the next three years, this week's Autosport reveals. The series had received applications from 12 teams currently not in the championship, but the current teams will be offered the opportunity to compete for the next three years providing that all unpaid bills are settled by today. The decision has been backed by the teams, who have been rewarded for their loyalty to the series, especially during any periods that have been hit by technical problems. DPR boss David Price backed the decision: "Bruno (Michel, series boss) picked the right teams in the first place so there doesn't seem to be any point in changing things, we've all done what we were supposed to." |
