Pick your best rookie and explain :)

To be honest Lewis is the most likely winner but Vettels performance in a car that is not that great should at least get a mention <thumbsup>

Lewis Hamilton - despite excellent performances from the likes of Vettel there can be only one winner of this category for me <thumbsup>

Lewis is a shoo-in for this one, I guess. What he has achieved is remarkable, irrespective of the car he had.
Notable mention has got to be made of Kovalainen and Vettel, but unfortunately, they made their debuts at the same season as Lewis.

before I voted I guessed it would be Hamilton as after all he is a rookie and is runner up in the Championship with 4 wins....

but I voted Vettel as he has scored points in his maiden race and points in a team that on paper should not....his success is relative to the equipment he had and he is only 20 so rookie Hamilton has two years competition experience on him.

Impossible not to go for Hamilton but I think Kovalainen did a good job after a shaky start. Vettel and Sutil both did well in poor cars, but it's difficult to establish whether that was down primarily to their ability or that of their team-mates.

It's hard not to pick anyone else but Hamilton. But Kovalainen and Sutil had good seasons despite rocky starts, and Vettel done a good job

Great performances overall, maybe the best rookie class ever, but had to go w/ Lewis.

Has to be Hamilton, Kovalainen was excellent to, but Hammy was exceptional

AndyW76 - October 25, 2007 06:39 PM (GMT)
It must be Lewis. He has achieved more than any other rookie.

Markus Winkelhock. The only driver to start both last and first on the grid in the same race.

Just wondering, why is Ant Davidson on the list? He made his F1 debut five years ago....!

I chose Vettel. My feelings is that he did better with what he was given than the other rookies. Hamilton did a great job but he was in the best car so you'd expect him to be in the top 3-4 for most races, barring car problems.
