Getting to know you.

We're Right nosy here at The Pit Lane. We do like to know a bit about our members so we can bring them the very best forum in the world. And to do that, we want to find out a little bit more about the best forum members in the world!
There's going to be a series of these little polls around the place, so keep an eye open for them. Call it the Pit Lane Survey 2007 if you like.

I just discovered I am dual national. There's no provision for that!!

Uh - Just put the country where you live down... So if you're actually an Azerbigani who permamently lives in Japan, put down Japan.

If however you are only visiting the country and don't live ther permamently, put down where you do permamently live.

Where's England?

England is part of the UK. Same as Wales and Scotland. And Northern Ireland too, but I'll accept an answer of Ireland for that.

UK is part of Europe, but I don't see that as an answer!

All we wanted to find out was whereabouts in the world people lived and it seemed easier to put the UK down rather than listing four additional options. I'm Welsh - but happily ticked the United Kingdom button in the poll because I live in the United Kingdom.

We never meant to offend anyone - we are just trying to tailor this board to suit it's worldwide membership.

Like the majority of people on here I am happy to vote that I live in the UK. Perhaps we could do another poll to see which AREA of the UK our members come from. But that might prove a geographical nightmare.

Saying that I'm from the USA tells you many things about me, but telling an American that I'm from the USA, tells him nothing. But, my Southern drawl would tell him a few things about me.

I am interested in knowing where, specifically, people are from. Being from New Orleans is very different from being from Omaha, Nebraska. In India, Calcutta, Delhi, and Mumbai are very different places. Given the opportunity, I'd like to know more about people and their locales.

No poll could do this, but comments in the posts would.
